BAHM to show 'Topper Returns' at Movie Monday

The Bartlesville Area History Museum will show number three in a series of the Topper movies. Considered one of the American Film Institutes’ Top 100 Funniest Movies in the American Cinema! During its next "Movie Monday," a brown bag event set for Nov.11.

The feature will be shown from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the museum, located on the fifth floor of City Hall, 401 S. Johnstone Ave.

VCI-Entertainment of Tulsa had this to say about the 1940 film: “Cosmo Topper, the man who knows the ways of spooks better than anyone, is up to his moustache in mystery. When a beautiful heiress-to-be becomes the target of an unknown killer, things start jumping. Topper soon finds himself as “Suspect #1," but with the help of his ghostly collaborator, he tries to unmask the real killer. The last film in the hilarious “Topper” series based on Thorne Smith’s famous characters."

BAHM is a family friendly facility where admission is free and donations are always welcome. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
